Hi all,

I just registered, and have been browsing around the forum here.. looks like a wealth of information.

I'm getting ready to start the process of doing a restoration of my dad's 1965. He's the original owner, and it's just been sitting (ie: rotting) for the past 15 or so years. I want him to be able to drive, and enjoy it again, but his idea of "fixing" it would be a crescent wrench and an improperly sized screwdriver or two.

After reading some of the stuff here, looks like I'm in for a bit of an expensive adventure.. but that's all part of the fun right?! I'm checking the C1 and C2 FAQ thread, and looks to be my starting place.. if anyone has any brilliant words of advice for me.. please let me know. I hope to add pictures of the process as it's coming along.

Glad to be here!

Welcome to the forum! My advice....When the project starts to feel overwhelming, and it will, focus on one thing at a time. Good luck. It will certainly be worth it in the end.

Looking forward to seeing your pics in the C1 & C2 section. I would make the car reliable and safe to drive and leave it at that for awhile to decide the level of restoration you want to do later. Good luck and welcome aboard
