New to Corvette and New to CF
Just my store here (no offense, forgive me if I hurt anyone’s feeling):
1. It’s been 20 years when I came to US and saw a Corvette. It’s so beautiful and powerful. How can you not fall in love to it? It’s my dream, dream car and American dream since then.
2. No thanks, 6-speed MT only. That’s what the Corvette supposed to be.
3. Yellow or Red, maybe Orange. In SF Bay Area, there’re too many crazy drivers (change line with no blink; stop on the highway trying to cut into exit; 45mph in fast line and proud of their MPG on Prius; texting when driving etc.). So, safety is No.1 (maybe 20% more chances than other colors to get into their vison).
4. 49 is too young to own a Corvette, 51 is too old to own the first Corvette. So, I wanted to own it at 50 (thanks to my wife for approval). Typical mid-life crisis? No, it’s just too powerful to be in the young hands. Have ever heard the teens abuse its power?
5. Yes! I found it (it’s on Craigslist!): Velocity Yellow, 6-speed MT, 2007, Z51.
6. Met the owner (original owner) on last Saturday with pocket of $$$.
7. Wow!!! It’s almost brand new! I told the seller: it’s my car. My Chinese name is on license plate (OMG! can you believe it!!!).
8. Deal! I’m official Vette owner!
What I’ve learned since one-week ownership:
1. Not all Corvette owners are 50+. The seller owned two in the past and he’s still in the early 40’s (maybe late 30’s).
2. The seller told me that there’s a community called “Corvette Forum” with many experts and Corvette lovers. Most of them are very knowledgeable and friendly.
3. Corvette wave. Thanks to the seller and good to know. Will try to get used to (don’t post me as a bad guy on CF if I forget doing so per seller said).
4. It turns whenever I steer the wheel; it gives me power whenever I need the horse.
5. How do I like the sound out of the Corsa pipes? Just like my 500W sub in my HT. Oops! my neighbor will know when I get home.
6. It’s proven a good buy. One of my neighbor (previous owned and raced a Z06) tested driving today. What they said? “This Vette is in excellent shape”.
7. What else? To learn as much as I can, to as good as I can. So, I’m here. Nice to be here. Thank you all.

God Bless man! I've been to the Bay. Some drivers are just nuts. Don't ever take her to Phoenix! :-)
Enjoy your car! Be sure to go to as many club meetings and shows as you can. In the month I have had mine, I have learned it is almost as much fun to show and talk as it is to drive.

Thanks to all
Never thought owning a car can be this family-feel and heart-warm. Here's my first "Corvette Wave":
Thanks to all you guys and thanks to CF.
