I've loved Corvettes my entire life
Born and raised in Saint Louis, I had several friends whose fathers worked at the Corvette plant on Union Blvd. Most of them owned Corvettes and for me it was love at first sight. To me the corvette is the essence of Americana.
Living here with winter snow a fact of life, it was never practical for me to own a corvette as my only vehicle, so I've always just drooled over them and dreamed, on and off lurking here.
I'm finally at a point in my life that I can own a corvette as a toy, and with the introduction of the C7, it was just too much to bear.
I never want to buy a car in the first year of it's release, so I've planned a 2015 model year purchase. I've given it a lot of thought as to exactly the car I want (with the help of this forum) , and expect to order in either December or January looking for a spring delivery.
I'm incredibly excited and will likely do a museum delivery if for no other reason, than a road trip home.
