Hello Vette lovers. I guess your wondering why someone with a swapped RX7 is here at your forum. I joined to have access to your C5 parts for sale forum. I want to buy LS6 intake and exhaust valves.
I'm planning out my LS1 top end build. I have a LS6 block and 241 heads from a 2002 F- body with a LS6 cam and yellow springs. I want to run a 230/230 111-1 cam aka El Torro. It uses XFI intake lobes and XE-R exhaust lobes and I want to use PSI 1511ml springs and 3/8 pushrods. I want to use 706 heads that I will hand port myself so I can have higher compression while maintaining PtV clearance. I will then have a machine shop with a Serdi valve machine do a valve job for me to fit the new valves with the appropriate throat cut.
I want light weight valves because of the ramp speed these aggressive lobes have; I want my valve springs to last. I know I could get LS3 intake valves and have the shop cut them down to 2.04 or less and get LS9 exhaust valves and retainers but that would be about double what a set of used LS6 valves would cost.
So, that's why I'm here.
