Default New, but been coming here all the time for year.

Hello,

Been visiting here for sometime. Finally set up an account and login.

1st corvette 2000 silver convertible,2nd 2003 same as 2000. Had to return 2000 lemon law. 2003 traded for used 2007 silver zo6 loved that car. Month ago traded 07 zo6 for 2015 zo6 silver convertible blue int. waited 8 months. Was loving it until just under 500 miles. After 1st oil change developed tapping/knocking noise in the engine upon cold start. After car warm's up noise goes away. Couldn't bring car in for 2 weeks tech on vacation. Won't go into 3 tires that had to be replaced because of damage while on car carrier. Tech finally came back on 6/29 from 2 week vacation. Had car for a week now and can't fix it. Changed idler/ tension pulley didn't fix problem and then GM told them to change PCV under supercharger. Tried that fix on 7/3/2015 at 1403 miles. No change. Told my sales person and sales mgr to tell GM take the car back and we can order a new one. While I had the car. loved it! My dealer and everyone involved to date has been great. Let's see how this proceeds. Happy 4th!

Formal welcome to the Forum
Multiple newer cars with problems? Sometimes I'd suspect the owner but I'll wait until the final verdict comes in

Please! Com on man. I've had 6 Lexus and no problems. Even had to return my 1st 2013 Volt after driving it from dealer to my house 18 miles. Next morning dead. Same Dealer and awesome Dealer at that. 2nd replacement Volt awesome no problems. One of the best cars I ever owned.

FYI the zo6 was fine when I dropped it off for them to change the oil at 500 miles and the 3 ps2 sport cups that got damaged coming off the carrier.

Next time suspect the mfg. I see it 24/7 in my biz.

Yes, I have to agree with you. Just seemed strange that you have one replaced with the lemon law, then another one after its first oil change.

A 2000 a bought new, 2013 Volt I bought new and a 2015 Zo6 I bought new. 15yr gap in between the 2 corvettes. If they took them back under the lemon law. Ah, might be something there. Com on man. Outta 20 plus cars I've owned starting with a 74 Monte Carlo. I'd say not bad.

I'm not the one who changed the oil and damage 3 tire coming off the car carrier. The dealer changed oil and GM delivered the car. Then the tapping noise problem.

FYI. Went to dealer yesterday to remove my plate and items outta the car and give them the other key back. What do I see. Both of my front fenders covered in blue painters tape. Really! I get it. But so low class.

Looks like Monday we'll start getting some answers. I've been told more calls are going to happen between GM and the dealer. Considering the long weekend it is what it is. Going on week 2 and they can't fix the car.

But, again my dealer is awesome.

Monday is over. Service mgr sending GM an email request to return the car and order a new one. He said doesn't happen overnight. Ok I'm Cool with that. I'll give it 2-3 days.
