Just came home with my new C5
Ok New to the forum as I have finally made it to Corvette ownership!!
Have plans to get rid of my F45 suspension as it is limiting my speed to 80MPH which of course takes the fun out of everything..LOL. A little about me, I have an addiction problem to cars....All of them. Have owned too many to list but a few of my favorites are: 1953 Chevy Bel Air pro street subframe 454 big block tubed rear end ford 9', 1976 rally sport camaro 383 stroker motor over 400 hp 411 rear end, 1979 pontiac firebird 455 big block 700 hp with 200hp nitrous fogger system. Currently I have a 1979 911sc grey market import that is a Max Morritz German car I've almost finished with. Just need to paint and assemble. I also have a 1972 CJ5 I frame off restored 2 yrs ago that is fully custom 10 inch lift boxed frame 4 way disc brakes hydraulic assisted power steering and 40 inch Michelin tires with the original 304 AMC motor rollered and .30 over pistons. I also have in the works a 1969 Opel GT with pro street subframe and 331 forged stroker motor and C4 trans and ford 9'. Have a berrian sand rail buggy hanging from the rafters of my 2 car shop with plans to put my 2110cc alcohol injected turbo volkswagon engine in it. Ok, now you understand I have a problem
Well that should give you a little background on my insanity and what I do on a daily basis. Spend money and work work work. I do not farm any work out to others, I do everything from start to finish except transmissions and seats. With all that being said..... Corvette was always the trophy I wanted for my daily driver and now it has come to pass!!!!

You'll be stuck with the 80 mph limit when you remove the F45 shocks. You can either:
1. Buy new ones for an arm and a leg,
2. Use the "Radio Shack" resistor method to fool the system into thinking the F45 shocks are still there and be able to use any type of shock absorber you'd like,
3. Find someone with a Tech II Scanner to delete the F45 Option from your PCM. Any competent GM dealership should be able to do this, but none in my area seem to be willing to do so...
Have fun!

thanks for the warning...
Actually, welcome to the forum. So this "disease" you have - is it contagious? Terminal?
