Default Transmission Issues

Hi All. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. A year ago I moved from Wyoming to retire in Western NC. Just before moving, had my '78 Vette 25th Anniversary serviced oil change, etc. Anyway, hauled the Vette all the way out to NC. About a month after arriving, went for a drive. After the Vette warms up, the tranny slips. I think transmission fluid, maybe synthetic was added during the service in WY. I drained the tranny and put in correct fluid but it's still slipping, esp. in Reverse. Next, I'm going to change the filter and all new fluid and see if that corrects it, if not, should I have it flushed? Any ideas. This transmission only has about 36K miles on it.
