New to forum, new to vettes.
So hello from WV. I picked up a black '16 Z06 in August. Talk about a steep learning curve.
I have a motorcycle road-racing background, so the principles of performance are not new to me. But this thing, dear god, five months later and I still feel like I'm learning how to drive the car.
Previous sports cars were Mustangs and Evos. This thing is a whole new world as far as riding around in cages goes. My streetbike is a BMWS1000RR, and it's stupendously fast. And I'm shocked to find myself in a cage that could almost run with it. I've never experienced superbike power in a cage before, and my, is it a thing to behold. And a bit more of a challenge to control.
The bikes will get wheelspin at corner exit, so I'm no stranger to the concept. But controlling wheelspin in this monster is something entirely new to me.
I think I'm going to sell my bike. I don't think I need it anymore.

Welcome to the forum, congrats on the Z06!
Are you the first owner? If so, you might want to look in to the Corvette Owners school at Spring Mountain - I'm going next week, can't wait! If you go, give them a call, you can get a Z06 with your transmission type (M7 in my case).

That puts me in the position of wanting track time like a junkie wanting heroin, and idly wondering the value of my child's organs on the black market. Tires... spares... transpo... these things don't pay for themselves. And if I get started again, I'll be hopelessly hooked.
Here's to hoping the wife winds up in a million dollar job so I can just sponge track costs off her.
