Yea we will see what happens, Im changing the fuel pump this upcoming weekend and plumbing some braided fuel lines for my EFI fuel rail that I picked up a month ago. Getting ready to toss the intake back on ect over the weekend and off to Speed Inc March 11th. Ill keep you posted on how she does and what they find with the current tune ect...

I've heard a lot of good things about Speed Inc. I'm sure he will do a great job.

Just curious Phil, who is the tuner you are using?

    Hey Bob,
Thank you for the reply, Hope everything is good with you and yours as well. I figured it was the factory pump and I am pretty confident given the power level that the car was and is dropping below 58psi @ WOT do to its fuel limitations. I have already ordered a upgraded pump that I will be swapping in to address this issue during tuning next month. The tuner I have is one of the best in the country for LSX platforms so I know he will be able to achieve its full potential. I did remember you telling about the PCM vin. Illinois state inspection is a little bit different here based on what you were telling me they do in NJ. Basically they just pull your car in and scan for emission codes via the OBD.. Im not to worried about that... The vin difference between the PCM and car shouldn't effect anything while tuning it... Just obviously different if you look at the numbers... Thanks again Bob...

    Hey Phil,
Hope all is well with you and yours. As far as I know when I owned the car it had the 2001 Z06 stock fuel pump from the factory. Another bit of info for you. When I had it my buddy looked at the tune in the car it was a copy and paste job in that the VIN number in the pcm did not match the VIN of the car. So someone downloaded another car's tune into the pcm.i could never take it to state inspection in that the VIN number in the pcm didn't match the car's. Also being an LS7 I really thought there was a lot left on the table with the tune. When I raced it on an 18" drag radial it only went 10.73 @ 128. Hope this helps. Stay in touch.

    Bob

Hey Bob long time no talk, This is Phil with the red LS7 Z06. Hate to bother you but I thought I would ask since you also owned the car. when you owned this car do you remember if it was still utilizing the stock 01 Z06 fuel pump? I am changing some other things and getting it tuned but I'm scared if it is still on the stock pump that at WOT it will go lean from not producing enough psi. I would assume based on the power level that if it were stock it would have failed already because the stock pumps theoretically are supposed to be maxed at around 500 whp without a boost a pump or hotwire kit. It has seemed to be fine so far but i am putting on a different intake/TB and larger inj.. Im just trying to reach out to anyone who owned or touched it to see before I yank the pump... hate to do it if it was already done

    Thanks bud, Phil
