Doing a frame off on my 63 convertible ...powder coated frame and all suspension parts ...non stock small block (377 roller motor) ...planning on an Ivory exterior w/saddle interior ..Black top, probably Black Hard Top also ...

I followed your build, had a few questions, but I learned a lot from your detailed posts and pictures ... thank you thank you thank you ...
I am in West Tennessee, so far I've had no help on this project, but at 72 years old, I'm not too sure some of my friends won't get a call to help when dropping the body back on the frame. About to take my Muncie apart. I did drive it before I pulled the body, and it was very quick ... the 3.08 rear preformed nicely and the FAST XFI 2.05 kept the Fuel, Air and Spark, working flawlessly. (it's really quick) I'm trying to figure out the picture post process, but as of yet I've not conquered that hurdle ...

This book is the real deal---printed in 1962 and says so on the inside cover. I've had this book for 54 years.

    Hey Darell,

Thanks a lot for the kind comments. Getting the windshield assembly on is a good milestone!

Yea, I sure wouldn't try to take off that undercoating now. It would probably become quite a mess.

Have you been posting pictures on the forum? Would love to see some.

    Take care, Pat

Hi- Don't know how I missed seeing your great looking 62, it is a knockout! I'm doing a 62 myself, and many of your gallery pictures are sure bringing back memories. I am at the point of putting the windshield on the freshly installed dash pad. I wish the underside of my car looked as good as yours; the guy who started the resto had already sprayed it with undercoating to 'make it quieter'. It's just not worth the aggravation to take all that crap off. Mine is PPG Hot Red, real close to your Ferrari red. Love that color. Darell

    Retiredgator,
Thanks for the comments. The color is different from the avatar because the avatar shows it a few years back. Unfortunately, it was stolen a few years ago, so I went ahead and restored the entire car. The color is actually Ferrari red with the white pigmentation removed. It is bright! The underside of the hood is painted a dull black, while the trunk and underside of the trunk lid is the body color.

Great looking 62. Is that the original Roman Red paint? It looks like a brighter and deeper red from the small photo. I want to paint mine red, currently white, can you tell me if the engine side of the hood is painted body color? What about the trunk lid and inside the trunk?

    Thanks, for any help.
