Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm sure I'll by local, but that means choosing between two competing well known Vette dealers. One of them is our club sponsor. The other catch is, I hope too do the museum delivery. That will probably add a little drama, or none of this will be an issue. I have two years to wait. Dennis

All Chevy dealers are obligated by their dealer agreement with GM to perform all warranty service on all Chevy cars who come in seeking service -- but they don't have to like it and might harass you as some have described.


Years ago I went to my then local Ford dealer for warranty service. The SM curtly asked where I bought my car and when I told him he asked why I didn't go there for service. I simply responded that he was more convenient and would he be making my appointment or would I be calling Ford customer service? He shut-up, made my appointment and I got great service and became a regular customer.

You might get a little pushback at first, but they will get over it quickly. Always give the local dealer a chance to sell u the car, and if they can't, then don't sweat it.
