Hi. I am a member of the Alamo Area Corvette Club in San Antonio, Texas. We have 196 members but only 20% show up for our monthly meetings. In an effort to get more members to show up, I am initiating a 15 minute segment in our meeting called Tech Talk. The first topic I would like to present is Brakes and Rotors. I was wondering if you might have some technical information regarding different pads and applications for our cars. I am well versed in metallurgy and have micro graphs of G3000 grey iron as well as ductile iron and steel to show why cast iron is the metal of choice for rotors. Going to run the X24s this weekend. Are they ok to drive to the track with or are they so out of range that its a safety issue?

A local garage in the county where I work.

Wheels and rotors cleaned by installer of carbotech pads that are squealing badly. Any suggestions?

I would like to eventually do some track days. If I were to go with xp10/xp8's just how loud will they squeal ? I live about an 1:45 min drive to Sebring ?
