Default Anyone disable their F45 and replace with Bilstein/2004 Z06 shocks?

My vette is approaching 40K miles and I have the dreaded F45 suspension. I have discovered that you can disable the F45 in the Body Control Module if a dealer knows how to use the Tech II tool to disable that feature.

Several questions:

1.) Has anyone in Boulder/Longmont/Denver/FC Colorado had the F45 feature disabled and how?

2.) If I cant get the F45 disabled, I can fake it out but are the F45 Real-Time Dampening Simulators sold by L.A.P.D worth the $200 (probably just some high watt resistors) worth it? Or should I make my own 25ohm resisters?

3.) So I am considering Bilsteins or 2004 Z06 shocks, which is better if I plan on going with a Hotchkis Sway Bar kit.

4.) Will I need a Bump Steer Kit to account for more understeer?

Thanks for your time.

Cheers!
Ed
