We will sell you just the green cats, you can weld them in anything you like. We do not have the ability to weld them in a competitors Y-pipe or a old Kooks pipe, because we do not have a fixture to hold them in place when we cut the old cat out and put the new Green Cat in. If you buy just the green cat and weld it in on the car, you can make any minor adjustments for proper fitment before you weld them in. If you would like a set of our new EPA certified Green Cats, give us a call and we can set you up with a dealer that will get you a set today.

Thank you

Our new Green Cats actually outflow our standard cats. They are a 300 cell cat with 3 times the precious material as OEM. You can have OEM quality, EPA certification, with high flow and performance. As a matter of fact Brenspeed, who is better known for Mustang tuning, is running our Green Cats on all of their NMRA race cars and just recently won their class at Norwalk.

The muffler shop in downtown Denver that a friend hooked me up at had no problem cutting my old kooks high flows out and welding new ones in. The important thing is to go to a reputable muffler shop and this is an easy and cheap job, for an experienced welder, and I have the old kooks x pipes and kooks racing headers. I haven't noticed any power loss but I haven't had a dyno to see, and the fact I know my dyno numbers will be lower since my time and last dyno were in Arizona. I have to check my online receipt for the green cats, but I think they were about $600 for 2, and your looking at between $100 to $150 for install.

I just got my tune after the Green cats and it was amazing, so I think they actually helped. Thomas from corvette connections did my tune and was amazing.

There are a lot of changes coming to the Colorado Emissions program on 01/01/2015, the state legislature has already signed it. They must have done it when they were done attacking firearms owners rights.

Depending on how it is implemented it could be very good or very very bad for modified cars.

It looks like it will be all OBD2 based testing for cars 10 years old or less starting 01/01/2015.
The issue is that they are well aware that a tuner can modify the software program in the PCM so it won’t trip the check engine light or set any codes. The software in the PCM is EPA certified and modifying it is a violation of Federal law.
Apparently they may choose confirm the factory software version integrity and validity during the test.

Do you know if this is a Denver area thing or state wide? We currently have no emissions testing in El Paso county.

I don’t know yet where the boundaries will be. I was told issue is not so much tuner type cars but that the same thing could be done to any old pos on a used car lot.
And if they use the cars onboard computer to tell them if it is running right instead of a tail pipe test they don’t want a modded computer.

There bringing hybrids into the program and it looks like enhancing the areas also.
