Anyone in the KC area need a C5 key fob? When I bought my car back in 2004 it had a 3rd key fob for some reason. I just put it away and completely forgot about it unti I was recently going through some old stuff. If anybody needs it, they can come and get it!

If nothing else, I figured someone might be able to use the casing if theirs is cracked or showing wear.

Do you know if it will work on a 02?

I'm not positive, but a quick Google search led me to a link that indicated the 01 - 04's were compatible. But I honestly don't know for sure.

Found these directions in the manual:


To match transmitters to your vehicle, do the following:

Turn the ignition key to ON.

Clear any warning messages on the Driver Information Center (DIC) by pressing the RESET button.

Press the OPTIONS button on the DIC several times until the blank page is displayed, then
press and hold the RESET button for two seconds.

When the message FOB TRAINING is displayed, press the RESET button once. The message HOLD LK + UNLK 1ST FOB will be displayed in the DIC.

Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the first transmitter simultaneously for five seconds.

When a transmitter is learned (matched), the DIC will display FOB LEARNED and then prompt you to learn the second transmitter.

Repeat Steps 5 and 6 for the third transmitter.

Remove the key from the ignition.



The programming mode will shut off if any of following has occurred:

You do not program any transmitters for two minutes.

You take the key out of the ignition.

You have programmed three transmitters.

Where are you located at? I am in Gardner, and work in Lenexa. So pretty close to KC area. I have an 02 Z.
