Default 87 octane in Colorado

Is there anyone using 87 octane gas in a C5 here in Colorado? I would like to try it in my 98 but first I like to know if anybody has tried before

You should be OK running 87 octane in your C5. You just wont have maximum power that you would with 91+ octane. The ECU will dial back the ignition timing as needed to prevent knock.

Thank's for the answer and that is ok by me since I only use the car for cruising and going to the hangout, going to fill up soon and see how it runs.
