Thanks for the pic of Bishop's castle. Always amuses. Quite a lifetime project and a true rebel against the system.

Beautiful car, you did an outstanding job. You should be proud, I know I would be If I were the owner of this fine example of a C5Z. Did you do the work yourself?

Thanks, it's actually a coupe but close enough for government work It has ported Z06 heads and rear brake ducts in addition to a lot of other mods. I haven't done every mod but the majority myself.

Currently in the process of rebuilding the engine at the moment in addition to doing several preventative maintenance installs such as slave cylinder, alternator, water pump, remote bleeder, radiator fan engines. Have the engine sitting on a stand in my garage and am taking it to a machine shop next week to hone the cylinders, polish the crank, clean the block and press in some new cam bearings.

I am currently shopping for a Corvette, but I can't decide what to buy. I love the C7 but don't want to spend $60k on a car now that I'm retired. I also love the C6Z but I'm afraid of the head issues these cars have. Perhaps a C5Z would be a good choice for me. BTW if you ever need a hand with any of the work your doing even if it's helping to guide the engine in place for installation let me know. I'm in Golden so not that far away.

Only two C4s? Here's my girl.

Not a very flattering photo though. I need to cruse up to Wolf Creek pass and snag a few. Anyone in the Alamosa area, or in the valley at all? I saw a white l-98 with a body kit and a checker flag decal down the side at the slow cruise for early iron days. We both kind of sneaked in at the same time. The cops where pissed.

I'm in Alamosa and have had my Z06 since 2003. I sneaked into the slow cruise at early iron 2 years ago and the cops kicked me out after only 2 rounds. (I guess they didn't appreciate all the tire smoke and the screaming exhaust note)! This picture was taken south of town right off South River Road.
I have seen that white C4 around town a few times, but don't know who owns it.

I have seen your car around a few times. That blue is even more beautiful in person. I think I saw your car in a Corvette run heading to Antinito.

They got on my *** right away this year. There was just a line of 'em That was a night to take the top off. I ran into a torn up silver crossfire with base C5 rims at Jacks in La Jara that night too. Real nice guy, though I didn't catch his name.
I guess I never realized how many vettes where in the valley until I bought one.

There are more Vettes here than you might think considering the sparse population. I have 2 friends that own C7's, one is a white '14 Stingray and the other is a Black '15 Z06 with orange stripes. Another friend has a '03 white roadster and Lynn Purcell has a silver ragtop that he drives every day. There are also a couple of 50th anniversary models here in town, one ragtop and one coupe. (you'll probably never see either one of those as they have become "garage ornaments"), LOL! I need to get mine out later today and clean it, it's still filthy from the Holley LS Fest trip last week. I use the car wash on the west side of town next to Subway. Hope to see you around soon!

Good looking car. Do you like that maroon?
I don't think I could give up my C4. I would probably just see how much a newer one costs and put exactly that much into her.
