Default Colorado peeps step in, emissions related.

So I just finished building my new motor and need to do a emissions test but need to get my Kooks green cats installed to pass. I took the car to a exhaust shop in Windsor after they said it would be 80-100 each side, we put it on his lift and his price jumped to 640+\- a couple hours ($80 an hour).

So at this point I'm looking for some help. I either need a shop that has done this exhaust work before going from a cat-less X pipe to installing these cats or some one that would rent me a X pipe that works on a 08 c6 ls3- (3"x3" and goes down to 2 1/2 exit).

Talk to Rich at Corvette Connection in Denver. They do lots of great custom exhaust work.

I've used Exhaust Pros in Northglenn for years. See Mike. If you are planning to build the catted X pipe and use it permanenty, the green cats may be OK. Usual issue w/emissions tests and aftermarket cats, particularly with a modded motor, is that they don't get hot enough to light off. I had to take a factory center section, shorten it and use the factory cats, swapping out the hi flow cats and X pipe every two years to pass the test, along w E85 and a re-tune. Good luck.

What I'm trying to figure out now is if I should just build a catted X with my stock stuff or try to cut my existing Kooks one up and install the green cats and add some e85 to the tank.

Just not sure yet.

I would be Happy to Talk with you regarding your Exhaust/Emissions needs. But I do need more Information to help. Feel Free to give me a call at 303.298.8388. We do a lot of Corvette Specific Exhaust, but every Project is Different.

Thanks, Rich

After my last conversation with your shop about my build I will never do business with you.

I know it's a long shot, but by any chance did this Cory once work at Dragon Racing?

I ask because he built my LS3 and it was amazing, and I'd like to find him again to do more work.
