Default Museum of American Speed tour call-out

Just a quick call-out to and for fellow vette'rs !
(and all car people actually)

I am bringing a small group of 5 cars on a road trip from Calgary AB, Canada to Bowling Green - with a stop in Lincoln to take in this museum.
http://www.museumofamericanspeed.com

I have booked a private tour for the morning of thursday Aug 25, but would like to get the visitor count up to really make it worth their while.

It would be awesome if we could get another 10-20 people to join my group for this private guided tour.

I will update this thread once the start time has been finalized with the museum.

Thanks!

Not knowing your actual itinerary, I don't know if you plan on driving across South Dakota. If you do, then plan on a tour of the car/truck/tractor museum in Murdo, SD on I-90. They have a nice Café in the museum for lunch.

If you are coming south on I-15 to I-90 at Butte, MT, then driving I-90 is a great road(80 MPH speed limit). Devils Tower in WY is just off I-90, as is Mt Rushmore in the Black Hills. Then a trip through the BadLands. Stay in Sioux Falls(Dakotah Lodge is a nice place to stay in Sioux Falls). Take I-29 south to Omaha, NE.

While in Lincoln, NE(exit # 395 off I-80) gas up with ethanol free premium at Shoemaker's Shell and go inside. They have some really neat heavy duty trucks on display that were built in Lincoln in the 1920's.

Then I highly recommend the following museums along your route.

Old Prison Museum & Montana Auto Museum(150 cars) in Deer Lodge, MT, exit #184 off I-90.

Classic car Collection(200+ cars) in Kearney, NE.

Pioneer Village(350 cars) in Minden, NE, exit #279 off I-80.

The Kearney collection has been closed for years.

You're going to love that speed museum tour. I was there a few years ago and loved it. I will be in Nebraska on that date as well but I have other plans I'm afraid.

If you can, add me to your list going to the museum. I live here in Lincoln but haven't been (yet) . Also are you moving on after the tour or staying over in Lincoln? Or, I would assume since the tour is in the morning your coming to town on the 24th? Anyway I have a small workshop that is available if anyone needs to do any maintenance/service while they're here. We also have a good Corvette dealership in town. They are a major sponsor of the Corvette club.
PM me and I'll give you my phone info. If I can be of any assistance just let me know.
