Default Colo Road Trip

Taking the C6 this week to Denver and then to Breckenridge. I wonder what routes and sites are recommended for a couple of weeks driving in the mountains?

There are so many that it's impossible to know where to start. My suggestion is to get on the Peak to speak Highway at Idaho Springs and head north to Estes Park. Avoid on weekends but during week or early morning it's beautiful and fun

ONe of the best Drives would be the San Juan Skyway, starting from Durango,CO. This is quite a ways away from Breckenridge though...

A closer drive would be to Head West on 70 (from Breckenridge), to HWY 24 South, West on 70, to 24 South. North on 285 into Denver.
