Seems each year we hear a story that someone that made their hotel reservation early (some actually make it a whole year in advance)... got there and the reservation was gone/missing/invalid.

Might be a good idea to call and confirm your reservation now

We confirmed ours last week. For some reason they had us down for a "smoking" room. Thankfully, the were able to switch it to a "non-smoking" room.

I checked my rooms tonight and they are all set. Also checked my rooms for Corvette Fun fest and they are OK also.

Good advice Mike.

We had a nasty problem like that about 10 years ago. At that time we used to leave Albany about 3AM and drive like hell to get to the show. We would go direct to the fair grounds on Friday stay till 4.30PM and then leave to attend the C5 Registry annual dinner. Leave at about 8 30 to go to our motel that had CC guaranteed reservations and WE HAD THE COMFORMATION LETTER!

We got to the motel (where we had stayed the 2 years before) at about 9 and we were dead tired and only wanted a shower and good night’s rest.

We get there and get told no rooms by this smug 19 YO POS. Ask for the manager and another giggling idiot of a girl says she is the highest authority available there. She did not give a sh** about or conformation letter and I at that point said she had better do something quick or I would be spending the night at the jail after I got done showing them the error of their ways.

Finely she called someone and they somehow found us a room in Harrisburg and the motel ended up paying for our 2 night stay at the other place. The place we got was a high end room at least 3 times the price of the place that screwed with us. Now it was about 11.30 by the time we got to get to bed with us then going to be back on the grounds at 6AM next day.


Last time we stayed there after the they pulled on us and I know if we did not show up they would have charged my CC.

Since then we stay outside of Harrisburg at a nice clean, cheap, quiet motel that has extra wide parking spots and is about 20 seconds off of 81. We also now go to Carlisle on Thursday leaving at about 10 AM and taking a nice drive down at sort of normal speeds. Hit the motel around 5PM

The Ramada Inn Carlisle and the Holiday Inn Mechanicsburg have both been sold, so it wouldn't hurt to double check your reservations. I believe the Ramada has already changed over, but the HI will be an HI till the end of the year.

Just checked our reservations at the Days Inn in Carlisle. We're all set...Wednesday to Monday.

Instead of leaving at 4:00am Wed. we may leasve at 3:00am, just incase. Getting up 1 hour early is no big deal. Just have to go to bed 1 hour earlier.
