We're working diligently on the Corvettes at Carlisle Event Magazine. Things are progressing nicely. The Fun Field appears to be in-line to be a record breaker for us! Glad to see the strong momentum in the Corvette world. We're getting super excited for the big event and we hope you are too!
The Fun Field stickers will be sent out in the near future, so keep a lookout in the mail. We appreciate all of your support and we're looking forward to making this one of the best Corvettes at Carlisle events we've ever hosted!

Cancelled my overpriced hotel that was / is gouging everyone who is staying there and got a hotel 20 miles from the fairgrounds for half the price. Saved myself $300. For that much money it's worth the drive.

There are some amazing back roads that lead into Carlisle guys & gals! Might be worth researching this from your hotels, I live in Mechanicsburg - 20 minutes away from work. Everyday I drive a back road into work if I have the time - simply stunning. Check out Route 944 if you can... you'll love it!

Last year our hotel was $129 a night. This year they bumped up to $179. (Days Inn Carlisle South) Very convenient, but way over priced. So we're back in Chambersburg at the new Sleep Inn. $84 a night. Easy drive out 11. There is also a Super 8 and a Comfort Inn within a block of each other, plus quite a few other hotels in that area.

Here's a short video of that storm. We lost our canopy that year along with about 200 others.
Hey Lance..................nothing like that this year please!!

My dad and I stayed with family in Reading, PA on our maiden trip in 2014....last year on the 2nd trip my folks stayed there in Carlisle somewhere...this year Dad and I decided just to stay in Carlisle again and forego the driving, besides, it'll give us more Corvette viewing time at the fairgrounds!

I was a small time vendor in 1982, space I-115. Back then everything was behind and to the right of the Grandstand. I'd gather parts throughout the year and what I could not resell I would bring up to my space. Proceeds paid my expenses but U can't put a price on the fun.
One year I had to transport a C3 frame and nose and my neighbor decided at the last minute he needed his truck. So I put that frame atop my ole Buick Skylark and put the nose atop of the frame. I was so lucky that it sold up there. Went just like that.
Camped out on the grounds under open building "U". They had it all, a place to camp out, showers, food & sleepy vettes at night. Much better experience than any motel & @ zero cost. Did that for like 10+ yrs. before migrating to FL. Also had space I-119. I remember co-owner Bill Miller coming around each space in '82, thanking everybody and handing out small souvenir plaques with the year. Still got it on display and a few more like that.
Was not sure if '82 was year one or '81.

Last page 4 states "The Flea Marketeers Computerize...installed an IBM XT Personal Computer...to better keep track of the 7000+ spaces."
This edition is priceless and not FS.
By '91 all 8000 exhibit spaces are filled to capacity during Spring and Fall (per Carlisle Productions 1991)
