Default Anybody using Grundy Insurance?

I am between Grundy and American Hobbyist for insuring the Viper and was wondering if anybody has Grundy for their vette and how their experience was?

I've used Grundy for the past 8 years and have had no problems. I've had no claims either. They are fair in their prices and very easy to deal with but as far as claims go, I can't comment. No complaints from me.

Default Grundy

Just became a policy holder last week, which does not make me a seasoned pro, but all was done via computer and phone. They were very responsive in getting an ID card in my hands with in a couple of days so that I could get the car registered.

What is the pricing like? I have a 01' Vette Conv. and I am paying a bit over $800 a year for full coverage. I don't drive it much and would like to find a cheaper policy.

Do you have more than one car insured with them? I tried insuring my 96 with them and they said they wouldn't insure it. I wound up going with another company backed by travelers.

I would Liketo use Grundy due to thier reputation from a few folks I know.

Thanks

I've been using them for the past three years for my 93 and haven't had any problems. Never had a claim, but they are great to deal with!

Wow, just got an online quote from them. $397 for a 26k agreed value on my 01 Vert. Less than half of what NJ Manufacturers is charging me!

I may switch!

Yes, I was quoted 1013 for a 70k policy on a Viper. Price is competative. It is between this and American Hobbyist which was about 91 bucks more and gas a 100/100 deductable compared to Grunsdy's 0/0 deductable.

There is a NO racing/timed event clause.

No, just the 96. I was rejected initially on their website due to not being part of a collection, but when I called them they said no problem. Give them a call. Guy

So if I am getting a quote from them, should I keep the fact that the car has a roll bar in it and runs 10.4's on the downlow?

In the quote prosses they ask if the car is used for racing. Will they deny me covarage if I say it is?

Ive been trying to get collectr car insurence on the TA for a long time, mostly so I can avoid needing an insection. LOL

I've been using Grundy for several years and have been very happy with their service. If you guys think $400+ is a great deal, then you wouldn't believe what I pay for my street rod with them, also with no restrictions like other insurance cos. I don't have their number handy, but if anyone has questions for them, you have to speak with only Chuck. He's the expert on specialty car policies.
