Corvette Club of Rhode Island Show - August 5
Don't forget...the Corvette Club of Rhode Island's annual "Show-N-Shine - 2 in 1" show is being held on Sunday, August 5th. The location is Marina Park on Salt Pond Rd (off Rte. 1) in South Kingstown, RI.
This show is a "2 in 1" extravaganza. There will be a "Participants Choice" class, as well as the judged classes of Show and Super Street. The theme is "Super Heroes" so you just might see a Superman or Batman mingling in the crowd!
Registration begins at 8:30 and ends at 11:30. Rain date is August 12th. Attached flyer gives all information or you can contact Randy Flock at 401-884-6235 or visit their website at www.corvetteclubri.com.
Look forward to seeing you there!

I most wholeheartedly agree that today's show hosted by the Corvette Club of Rhode Island was terrific!! The weather was perfect, too, wasn't it?! We had a wonderful time...and each of us came home with a first place trophy!

They gave me a 2nd place trophy, but they're going to get me a 1st place trophy. The person they announced as 1st place had a 2002 and did not belong in my class: 2005 & up roadster.

Took a ride down to look around, very nice day and lots of cars. Good thing you didn't have Saturday's weather yesterday, that would have been HOT

You really should get that car into a judged show! Participants choice shows are nothing more than popularity contests so if you know a lot of people, or are the only car in its class, you're guaranteed a trophy. The real test is just how clean and in what condition your car is in a judged show. That's where the real competition is. Try it!

But I don't know how to clean a car well enough to compete; last year, you promised to teach me, but we never got together for lessons.
Anyway, I had just come back Thursday night from 4 weeks of driving around our great country. It would have required a significant cleaning before it was ready for detailing with Q-Tips, etc. There was no time for that.
I'm still willing to learn.
It was still fun going to the show, taking pics of the cars, and socializing with friends, and meeting new ones.

Thanks for the compliment. You know how much work goes into putting it together.
