Default So I drive by this place when I go to the State office

And it says Corvette over the door on the sign, along with musclecars etc. So I get done early today and I stop in for the hell of it. It looks like a little hole in the wall, but I go in and this is sitting in the front showroom, covered up.

He pops the hood for me and there is a freakin LT-5 sitting in there, all the wires hidden, firewalls painted same as the car, just an unbelieveable job.

Anyone know anything about this guy? CT? His name is Howard. It looks like he does great work.

This mid year was in the show room. Big block in it but the interior and accesories still needed installing.

The C-1 is the owners car and he restores Vettes and old Muscle. He takes me out back and he's got a pile of midyears back there and GTO's stacked up on lifts like cordwood. He had a 69 GTO that was one of like only 60 built. Also had some old Trans ams.

He does LSx conversions and full frame upgrades and suspensions, not to mention period correct resto's. Talked to him for a while, seemed like a nice guy and knew his $h!t. I went through one parts room and he has Pontiac Tripower manifold/carbs stacked up along with parts some guys would give their eye teeth for.

You failed to mention where this shop is. However, I saw that '57 at the Rocky Hill show 2 years ago.

I also saw that car a couple of years ago at the Rocky Hill show and talked to the owner - he said he made it himself (full ZR1 drive train from a wreck) but didn't mention he owned a shop. After that I found pix I had from a all Chevy Show and he did have the shop name on a sign. I'll post some pix if I can find them. This car is one of the best Corvettes I've ever seen.

Thanks for the info!

You got it! I've a C4 & most places don't like working on them so I'm always on the look out for some one who is game & does good work. Ya know it stinks when you pay for work & because the place don't really want to do it the results are a bit lacking....I can do that myself & save the labor charges.

I know what you mean about he C4's - it's a long way from you, but the Corvette Center in Newington CT has worked on my C4 and they do nice work.
