[NE Charity EVENT]: St. Jude's funny fundraiser!!
Hello everyone, we in the Northeast were trying to come up with an idea for a fundraiser to benefit the St. Judes' foundation. In true N.E.C.F. tradition, we think we've come with a fun way to do it. First off, this is for a real charity, everything, every last cent is going to this wonderful organization. The fantastic work they do is unparralled, and this is something we can all be a part of. This is just one of the cool kids we'll all be helping.
I'm sure if we get together we can do our part to help CF break this mark
Or idea is pretty simple, we have forum member formerley known as Brooklyn C6.(thanks for agreeing to do this Josh) His name was changed to allbottlenothrottle because of his admittley terrible driving skills, and his fantastic drinking ability, (not at the same time of course) by some of the mods after being persuaded by some of his friends. Anyway if he wants his name back, he has to pay. We are going to out bid him, the minimum bid is $20.00. This thread will run till December 31st. Alex will figure out the paypal/check money stuff. Once you make a bid, please do not delete/ or alter that post. If you want to pledge additional sums after your first entry, just make another post. Also, please do not pledge more than you are willing to give, we expect everyone to be honorable. Remember this for one of the best charities around, so dig deep and dig often. (Plus we get to call Josh allbottlenothrottle)

Alex will figure it out?? This is your idea George!!
Ok George I'll help you out:
Donations can be made either through Check or through a paypal account. Please specify in the memo your forum name and "NE Fundraiser"
So for example, in the memo, I would write: Alex1217: NE Fundraiser
Personal checks, cashier checks, or money orders, made out to: St. Jude Children's Hospital and mailed to:
Robert Briggs
P.O. Box 17083
Clearwater Fl 33762
For Paypal account: corvettes4stjude@aol.com
please add your user name in the narrative when using Paypal
We'll keep a running tally of how much is raised based on what you post but just send the money directly to Pewter99, the co-organizer of the St. Jude Fundraiser.
Here's the kicker: Once all the contributions are summarized, we'll take a pic of Josh holding an oversized check with the final tally wearing his (at this point in time) rumored velour leisure suit, at which time, the mods will change his name back to Brooklyn C6. Then only then, will he get it back!!!

I think you should send Josh in his velour suit to attend the annual check presentation at St. Jude. It takes place every Columbus Day in Memphis.
We caravan the Corvettes with police motorcycle escort to the hospital, let the kids who are well enough come out and sit in the cars, have their pictures made and then present the check.
That will be Oct. 13 next year. Mark your calendars.

Just so everyone understands, this is not an auction, you do not out bid the last bid, just pledge what you can. Example, today I bid 50, tomorrow 100 next tuesday 75, I've now pledged 225. see how it works easy, so lets go.

Damn, when Josh first bolted up his procharger, he would have never guess in a million year's that:
A) He wouldn't be breaking into the 11's
B) His exploits (or lack of them) would be posted on the internet for the world to read
C) He'd be going to Memphis in a Red Velour suit!! I hope he makes it back dressed like that!!
