Default any dealers on LI you trust for warranty work?

I need to bring my 08 in somewhere for warranty work. Got a check engine light last week and it is showing codes 0451 and 0454 which has something to do with the fuel tank sensor.

So I'm looking for some recomendations. I used to use Performance Chevrolet in East Meadow, but their service dept closed.

Thanks

a lot of dealers seem to be going out of business.
the 2 I places I took my c5 are now out of business. I'm curious to see the suggestions, as I'll need to keep a place in mind if I have to take the new car in. Good luck!

I've heard some good things about Arnold in Babylon, but I have no first hand experience. My 07 hasn't had to make any trips back to a dealer yet.

I have also heard arnold chevrolet has a good service dept. By the way...I am employed by the Good ol' Village of RVC. Nice Village to work for!! I just read your Profile and believe that I met you a few years ago in town and we were discussing vettes. I believe your son had a nice ride also.

Im good friends with the people at Smithtown Chevy. The service dept is mod friendly and they have a few Vette specialists from other dealerships. They've always done good by me and my buddies, even though it may be a bit far from you.

Ex 1) When my roof delaminated, I told them I was picky about the color match. The service manager asked me "Do you have a body shop you trust?" I told him yeah, he gave me the roof to take to them and paid them directly so Id be happy.

Ex 2) Hazchris and I were at their 1st Car Show. We were talking to one of the owners, and Chris was complaining about his failing clutch, and his bad experiences at RAMP. The owner told him to bring it in the next day, they swapped in a new clutch UNDER WARRANTY (at 15K or so) even though the clutch isnt really warranted (its considered a wear item).

If you need them, ask for Tim, he runs the service dept. Tell him Craig sent you.

Ramp in Port Jefferson, or Huntington Chevrolet - Huntington supposedly has dedicated Corvette mechanics that were hired from Ramp's shop a few years ago. I haven't used either one as my Vette has never needed any repairs (*knock wood*), but I've heard these are good. Ramp can be a PITA to get an appointment tho.

Thanks for all the input.

Craig, looks like I will try Smithtown first with Arnold as my backup.

Anthony, we should get together again. I havn't cnanged my profile yet, but I just got a JSB '08 vert about 4 weeks ago.

Last I heard a few years back, Ramp won't service your car unless you bught it there.

VetteDocs are great, but they can't do factory warranty work, only extended warranty.

Thanks All

I've also heard that Arnold is good but haven't had any experience with them (recently) and IIRC, I think the name above was the guy to see.

I knew a kid that worked in the shop for Performance. He basically ripped them apart. They closed. They were jacking power from other businesses, it got so bad.

I'm heading to Paul Conte Chevy tomorrow morning with my C5. I'd suggest them.
