Please join us for our 2nd Annual Open House

Saturday, March 29th

We would like to invite you all to this year’s Open House. Coffee, bagels, muffins, and sandwiches will be served. As a gesture of our appreciation, we will also give away several car-related items. This year, we will announce one winner every thirty minutes from those in attendance. Prizes will escalate in value over the course of the Open House. Last year we were thrilled by everyone’s support and attendance so we would like to extend an invite for a return visit and a tour of our shop. We have some exciting new projects in the works and are pleased
that we have nearly completed the office/show room renovations.

Joe Scafidi’s interest in automobiles began when he was just a kid, hanging out at his father’s taxi company’s garage in Waltham, MA. When he was a teenager, Joe began working with the shop mechanics and helped out in body shop and soon developed his all-around auto repair abilities. During his last year in high school, Joe drove by a stunning 67 white coupe with blue stinger and it was love at first sight. Working weekends and summers during high school and college, Joe spent many hours repairing engines, re-building chassis and doing body work. When he graduated college with an engineering degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, he went to work at his family’s new business, New England Wheels, Inc. (Over the course of 24 years, New England Wheels became know as one of the leading national manufacturer of commercial wheelchair accessible vehicles.)

During his twenty year career at New England Wheels, Joe had the opportunity to work in every department and learned all the aspects of designing and building their wheelchair accessible vans; from metal fabrication, fiberglass design/fabrication, electrical accessory installation, interior design/ fabrication, to the supervision of each department. For the eight years Joe supervised the entire operation, including the sales department, as Vice President of Operations. In February of 2005, the Scafidi family sold New England Wheels which allowed Joe the opportunity to establish a business that would satisfy his main passion, the restoration, service and repair of Corvettes and other classis cars.

For the last twenty years, Joe has had a formidable interest in restoration of Corvettes. While still in college, he purchased his first corvette, a 63 Roadster that was in very rough shape. Of course it was red. He used that car as a daily driver year round for approximately one year while repairing and restoring it along the way. During that same year, he joined NCRS and another local corvette club, the “Bay State Corvette Club”, both of which he is still a member today. When Joe graduated from college, he purchased a new 1985 Corvette and which allowed him to begin a body-off restoration of the 63. It was with this car he earned his first NCRS Top Flight award at the age of 25.

Along with his experience, knowledge and skills, Joe has restored over seventy-five corvettes for himself, friends and customers over the past twenty-eight years. He has also progressed through the NCRS Judging Program to earn a Master Judge designation in 2006. Joe continues to expand his corvette knowledge by attending judging seminars, tech sessions and corvette judging events that he can fit into his business and family schedule.

Joe’s full service shop for corvettes and vintage cars finds it home at a 12,000 square foot facility in Billerica, MA. This facility is set up with a separate assembly area, a vehicle lift, a separate body shop and state of the art spray booth. The Bowtie Shop performs all aspects of restorations, repairs, service and custom work. Whether it is a complete body-off restoration on your classis corvette or just a quick repair and detail of your daily driver, The Bowtie Shop is the place where you can find it all. For all you late model guys and girls looking for a quality shop to perform maintenance/service and even some aftermarket add-ons, you can find it at The Bowtie Shop.

idk how this site works I just joined because I want to warn the world about this hack. He’s literally a hack that tries to smooth talk people into thinking they’re gonna take care of everything. Well they fucked me out of 70k. The paint is fucked up, there’s bumps and lumps through it all, I’ve gotten cracks through the paint, the door jambs have holes and the hood is “always curing” and that’s why their pain job sucks. I’ve been bringing the car back and fourth to them for 2 full years now “working the bugs out of it as joe scafidi” would say. This guy is a thief, learn from my mistakes not yours. Don’t go to him, you’re better off, trust ME!
