Default Best seats at Pocono Raceway?

I'll be going to the Pennsylvania 500 on Aug 2nd. We didnt get our tickets yet. Can anyone recommend where the best seats would be?
Thanks in advance.

If you want to see the cars pass close up, get the lowest rows possible.

We sat in row 28 in SO and couldn't see the cars passing with most people standing.

BTW, the corn dogs are fabulous!

If you want to see most of the track then get the highest seats.

Having been to most NASCAR tracks, Pocono is not at the top for seeing a race in the stands. Track too big to see all of it. The front stretch is great. Next time go see a race at a perfect track where all seats are great..no obstuctions. Dover...Richmond or the holy grail BRISTOL. Both are like looking into a Bowl, ya dont miss anything. Also BRING EARPLUGS!!!

Watch it on FOX.....Pocono is way to big and you only see the cars for a few seconds each lap. I went there once and it pretty boring. Try Dover, its sooooo much better.....Bristol is almost impossible to get tickets to, unless you are willing to pay a lot of $$$$.

Earplugs or rent a radio to listen to the drivers and the crew chiefs, that makes it a little more interesting.

Just went to my first race at Pocono a few weeks ago. We sat at the end of Pit Road. I agree with the other posts - first choice would be the drivers seat, second would be as low as possible if you want to see the cars in the front straight. The come very close to the wall and you can't see them from high up. BUT - if you want to see the whole track - the higher up you go.

Definitely rent the radio head sets - I'm sorry I didn't.

I HIGHLY recommmend making the investment and getting Pit Passes. The experience is worth it. Will post some photos later today...

I've been to many tracks over the years .... and I have to say that Pocono was probably the worst. They pack you you in like sardines in a can - and you can't see much more than the cars coming out of turn two and down the front strech into turn one. Kinda like a road course. If you can afford it - get some seats in the tower ! That would be awesome I'm sure.

Either way ..... have a great time. No better place to be on a Sunday afternoon than to watch a race and smell real men's cologne. Burnt Rubber and Spent Fuel !!!!

After 2 races at Pocono, I would never go back. I don't know why they even sell seats there - those damn people never sit down!

I have attended races at over half of the current Cup tracks and this place was the pits...

Just my 2 cents - geo

We have been sitting up in the terrace club for about 10 years just passed the start/finish line. This year we moved our seats to about the commitment cone at the opening of pit road and we all thought that was much better. You're high enough you can see the whole track and there's a LOT that happens through the tunnel and off of turn 3 and you can see it much better. Lost a bit of turn 1 but seats aren't selling great so we were able to get the first row up there so we had a pretty unobstructed view.

All that being said... we go every year and we always have a good time, but there are WAY better places to go see races.
