Default Taking the #3 Cunningham Corvette to Le Mans in Honor of Chip Miller [PICS]

Hello everyone. In June, the Miller family is taking the first Corvette to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans race back to France to commemorate the 50th anniversary of it's historic win. It was Chip's dream to do this and his son Lance is fulfilling that dream. John Fitch, the driver of that car is also joining us. Fitch is 92 years young and ready for the trip!

I wanted to share some photos and other info with you. This is giving us the opportunity to spread awareness of Amyloidosis, the disease that took Chip from us in 2004. We have created banners and brochures about Chip and the disease to display with the car in France. We will have those at Corvettes at Carlisle to share with all of you.

Enjoy!

Great article about the car, the disease and our journey to France...

These photos are from Kevin MacKay's display at Strictly Corvettes a few weeks ago.

The #3 arrives safely to the French port of Le Harve. Tonight the car will be transported down to the famous Le Mans Museum! On Monday the vehicle will be pulled out of the Museum for a photoshoot by Richard Prince along with it's older brothers (the C6.R's) right at the start/finish line of the Le Mans circuit!

Life is good,

Lance

Here are a few more, right after they pulled the car out of the container - LIFE IS GOOD!

As you can see in the pictures, the #3 is back on the French soil:

We're flying out of JFK tomorrow evening but decided to stay in Paris thru Thursday afternoon, so we'll hook up with you guys early Friday and thru the entire 24. Glad to see #3 made it in safely. See you there!
