Do any of you know if the B&B bullets will pass a NYS inspection if there are no mufflers that come with the system?

I am more concerned about the "noise pollution". SLP says that this system is at least 90-95dbs.

I've had GHL's with no mufflers pass with no problem. If you want, you can PM me and I'll send you the name of the shop I go to - you won't have a problem

Not NYS... but New England...

i'm having trouble in NH (Seacoast area) finding a shop that will pass my 01. Its stock except for B&B bullets, really not THAT loud in the grand scheme of Harleys & Muscle cars with headers. I keep hearing that the NH DOT is trying to crack down, maybe I need to head inland, past Epping.

Anyone have any advice?

Never had any problem with passing on my old 05. They would be more concerned with lack of cats on visual inspection. They don't measure the decibel level.

Thanks for the feedback Mr Math, I'm afraid what they will find fault for on the B&B Bullet is the lack of muffler. They will argue that the resonator/ short glass-pack doesnt count. What was your 05 set-up with?

I ran the b&b bullets ith stock manifolds and cats. Never had any problem with inspection when I had it.

OK good info, well I found a shop locally who inspected it. Owner said, "I understand that people like to have an exhuast, a lot of people do it." He seems to do older BMWs, work trucks, older porsches; so hes not in the same vien as the big chain owned shops doing beige commuter cars all day.

All's well that ends well.
