Default Any Info on 2012 Wash DC Law Ride?

This is the Harley and Corvette Cruise to the Law Enforcement Memorial that stages near the DC Armory. Takes place in early May. Was having some work done on the car and missed last years event. Have found lots of info on the other memorial activities, but nothing on the cruise. Thanks.

Phil

Hey Phil, Looking forward to seeing you this year. Check out Chesapeake Corvette Club's website and ask those guys, since they do it every year.

Thanks Doug. Will be at your clubs show at the end of the month. The CCC site still has 2011 info. Will give one of the club officers a call. Thanks again.

The 2012 Law Ride is scheduled for May 13, 2012
The staging area is at RFK Stadium across from the DC Armory at 19th and East Capital St NE usually around 0600. The corvettes generally stage in the back parking lot as they are last. The parade order is police MCs, Blue Knights chapter groups with MD1 at the lead, civilian groups/bikes then the corvettes.

The website is www.lawride.com but they have not updated it for 2012.

Smithvictoria: Thanks much for the response. Do you know of any Corvette Clubs that are participating? The info you presented is pretty consistent with what had been done in past years.

The info I've been able to find to this point is as follows--

The ride out of RFK Stadium WILL NOT be going to the Law Enforcement Memorial...it will be going to DC Metro Police Headquarters because of the production setup for the Candle Light Vigil at the memorial site.

LawRide & Wreath Laying ceromony for May 13, 2012 is as follows. Staging will be from 0700 hours to 1100 hours at lot#3 Stadium Armory parking lot, RFK stadium (2400 East Capitol St NE Washington, DC). Procession will leave the parking lot under Police escort at 1100 hours.

Consistent with your info?

Thanks

Thanks Doug. Been in touch with CCC. Their not participating as a club this year. I plan on going, regardless. Just don't know how many Vettes will be there. In years past it has been close to a 100. Don't know about this year.

Just confirmed your info that the 2012 Law Ride will not be ending at the NLEOMF memorial but at the local LEO's memorial at MPD HQ on Indiana Ave. The ride will start at 10:45am from the same start point.

Not sure what CCs are participating this year as I usually ride my bike, but this year will be TDY out of town and can't go.
