Lime Rock Park Historics this coming weekend
Who's going to LRP for the Historics on Monday?? I'm going and parking in the Corvette Corral. Hoping to see some folks I haven't seen in a while along with some regulars... Roll Call!!

I'll be there Fri, Sat, Mon. I'll probably skip the Sunday show.
Unless there's a monsoon, I'll be driving the '64.

I was disappointed at the lack of Corvette representation on Sunday at the Concours/Gathering of the Marques. The NY/CT Viper club had over 20 cars and there were over a 100 Porsches and nearly 50 Ferrari's! What gives? Overall, a fantastic showing of automotive history and design.

Went on Saturday. I love watching/hearing those small block C2's on the track. There was just one C3 there, a '69 with a 468. Being a C3 owner, I enjoyed seeing it on the track and talking to the owner/driver/mechanic.
I just love the look and exhaust note from Chris Homer's '64.

The Corvette showing at the Corral was truly disappointing.. borderline embarrassing. Today there were a grand total of FIVE vettes. After the parade lap, four... when I left at 3pm, I was the only one there...
Great races, great time, some wonderful cars and people as always, but where were the vette owners??? Huh...

I had my 64 parked up front on Fri & Sat. There were 2 other C2's on Sat. in the same lot (along the road to the camping area). There was a C7 parked next to me on Fri. He was there Sat. too. I also saw a 56/57 on Fri, Sat, Mon.
I left my car home Mon due to the blistering weather.
For those who missed Monday, Joe Riolo in the #13 gold 65 Corvette won the second Group 7 race when the #63 Jag ran off course and the #61 Jag broke. He was second to the #61 Jag in the first race.
