Did anyone go to the AC Convention Center Car Auction this past weekend? IF so, how was it?

Went there Saturday, It was about half the show that Feb. is. Most of the cars were no sales. A '69 bb vert sold for 27(?)k. It was pushed over the block and back to it's parking spot

I went on Saturday. Poor turnout even though the weather was great.

Was there on Friday.....very disappointing. Relatively few cars; little interest from bidders at the auction; limited vendor attendance. At least the weather was nice for a cruise down to AC.

$15 ea. Although if you had a roll of red raffle tickets you could have presented one and gotten in for free.

about 30% sold.

poor attendance.

there was a 1932 white Ford there that ran across the auction block.

did anybody else 'have words' with the owner?

as soon as we started to look at his car, he barked "Don't touch my car"
it really blew our minds.

One of my friends told him "If you're gonna be like that, put a god dang sign on it"
he retorted "Just don't touch my car"

why the heck would you bring a car to an auction to sell and not let anyone even touch it??
ends up he was like this towards a couple of other prospective buyers.

needless to say, he did not sell it

He might have been having a bad day. I know if I spent all that money and time to go there for THAT, I might be a bit on edge myself. Now throw in that maybe the person before you dropped an ice cream cone on the interior, you guys might have gotten the brunt of that.

In February, I saw a 50's gasser (I think it was an orange early Chevy) missing it's gas cap. I'm sure whoever took it really needed it (not) but that's what sellers put up with.
