Don't assume your 71 has never seen snow... back then we all drove them all year round. Most people back then only had one car. They handled really well in the white stuff.

Mine was bought new in Dallas and stayed there until 1992, from 1992 until 2012 when I brought it to CT it was garaged in Houston. I'm assuming if it saw snow, it was minimal at best.

Had snow tires on my first Corvette ('62) in the early 70's. Drove it all the time. It was my only car.
