Any road course tracks nearby???
I have done some drag racing but I would like to drive the car on a road course through some turns and just have some fun!! I am certainly no professional driver and I wouldn't be looking to set great lap times. Just have some fun and drive the car the way it was intended to be driven. Do we have anything like that not too far from home?? I'm in northern NJ btw

NJ Motorsports Park in Millville NJ. Two courses & several track events run by various groups during the warmer months. Website is www.njmp.com. Pocono Raceway in PA also runs track events.

Based on where you live and the time you'll spend driving (vs. distance) Lime Rock Park in Conn. and Pocono in PA. are viable. If you know someone, Monticello Motor Club is probably the closest. Just for fun, I Mapquested (is that a word? It is now!) directions from North Bergen to the TOWN each track is in so there will be a couple miles variation based on exactly where you live.
Millville, NJ (NJMP) 129 mi.
Lakeville, CT (LRP) 101 mi.
Long Pond, PA (PR) 96 mi.
Monticello, NY (MMC) 86 mi.

Because you live in North Jersey, I'd say NJMSP is the closest. Two tracks have been built onthe old air port grounds and used to house the WWII eara thunderbolt fighter jets. One track is called Thinderbolt, and the other is Lightning. Of the two, Thunderbolt is my favorite and most corvette drivers like it better than Lightning. There are two configurations used one with chicane and one without the chicane, bot are great. There are garages for rent, and rooms above the garages for rent should you choose. I'll post a video later of myself giving a fellow CF member a ride with a few other CF members. At one point I use harsh language at myselt for over correcting a turn

Pocono North Course
Here you go - https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...th-w-cvcc.html
North course uses part of the main track - Turn 3, then down into the infield course. Nice mix of speed and road course turns.

I've been to Lime Rock -- nice place. One of my good 'Vette friends just joined there. Monticello isn't far either, but that's a private track and considerably more exclusive/expensive (although gorgeous from what I hear). I have heard good things about NJMP but have not gotten there yet.

Lime rock is nice, if your in a crowded run group it can be frustrating. Summit point - main is fun in West Virginia. Summit and Watkins Glen both have parts of the track were you can air it out and hit 130+.
I've watched some runs on NJMP on YouTube. I'd only want to run Thunderbolt, lightning doesn't interest me much.
Watch some videos and see what track you'd like to run.
