Here's why I don't take the Vette. Granted, this was a hurricane, but heavy rain does this to the downtown area as well. And yes, this is Ocean City, Md.

We will be down there as well. Not sure if we are taking a vette down or just the escape. We rent a house in Dewey beach de.. It's about 15 miles north of ocmd, but it's a very nice drive and we don't have to park our cars down there.. I know there is a ls1tech meet at 2pm on Saturday at the roses shopping center, any vette meets going on?

So far, there's 3 side meets I've found thats Chevy related.

https://www.facebook.com/events/1624281904484627/

https://www.facebook.com/events/1562872023924756/

Third ones probably gonna be the big one with LS1Tech. Havent found any Corvette meet setup yet.

Mine is really low, so I don't take it.
Now if I had a classic...........in a heartbeat. Fantastic show, good vendors, lots of freebies, plenty to see and do. It's a great show. $10 a day or get a $30 3 day pass. Both will get you into all the shows and the Convention Center. Looking forward to it.
Yes, some of those curbs are no joke for a low ride!! I also noticed that some of the entrances and exits to the same parking lot are not always consistent; an entrance can be low car friendly and the exit is not and visa versa. My Z06 doesn't do well there but I still go and just walk a lot (it's faster!!!).

You nailed it. My other concern in taking the Vette is the hotel parking lots are always full.........and sometimes really small. I'd feel less upset if my Caddy door got dinged than if the Vette did. I'll be there Thursday through Sunday. Looking forward to year #21 for us. Vette or no Vette.

Yeah, some of the hotel parking lots really pack them in for sure. I usually stay at a friend's condo near 56th Street. Two spots per condo and I usually just have one car so it's a pretty sweet deal. The parking lot is completely empty when I stay there for Corvette Weekend.

The new 45th St. Village would be a good place. Low apron and lots of room. I won't have my Vette with me, but if I see a bunch of you gathered I'll stop. There are shows all over town, but Hooters on 123rd St. is closed up, so no show there this year. Berlin, West OC, Convention Center, and the Inlet. And if you are planning on going to the concert, it's THURSDAY night this year instead of Saturday like in the past.

Man, I'm ready. It's 47* here right now.

I'm not there yet! I'll be there tomorrow @noon.

Saturday is insane with traffic for sure. We stay on 5th so we don't have to drive Friday or Saturday nights. Last I checked, the Hooters lot was a mess. Broken up and in bad shape. That was last fall. Could be fixed up, but don't know who would do it without Hooter's being there any more.

The Hooter's on 5th St. has live music Friday night (friend's husband and his buddy.........very good).

Wife and i headed down. Why the hell they close Hooters on 123rd? Nuts.... the place is packed on ANY weekend! I guess ill try the Roses pkg lot or maybe Carrabas at 3 on Friday. Wanna be parked in the eve so i can drink and pull out my chair!

Its a shame that short burnouts arent legal.... i mean come on..... limit it to 10' .....as long as you dont move too far! Line locks OK... LOL.

The place is INSANE tonight. Everyone is doing burn outs, Seacrets is jammed full, the Convention Center was standing room only too. It's crazy. Someone poured soap into the fountain at the Wine Rack. White suds everywhere!
Too damn many diesel pickups though. Black smoke galore. But let the good weather continue, and the good times roll on!

Funny.... reminds me of I Love Lucy!

I got an effing parking ticket!!! Another ticket!!!# OMG

So ill be the resident reporter for the upper end:
Hooters on 123rd is alive and well!!! At least the parking lot was! Lots of Classy cars and some awesome builds! Always amazes me how much time and money and heart individuals put into this hobby!

There was a 61 Blk Pro stock Impala that was effing over the top!!! A twin turbo custom 61 VETTE before paint that was incredibly done.

Lots of burnouts and first gear pulls with not a cop in sight! I couldnt believe it..... like, OK, when they gonna shut this place down?

Most were civil about it.... adults..... but wait! Here come the Stangs! My god.... i didnt know rabbits and horses had similar mating patterns.... where the hell they all come from? (Mr Shelby RIP)

Hey everyone. I'm here. Staying down by 54th st. I've been trying to take as many pictures of everyone's vettes as possible; lots of beautiful cars out here. I'll load them up later.

If you see a blue C7Z06, say hello!

I'm staying on 5th St. and the only day I've been able to get out of the parking lot was Thursday! Bumper to bumper to bumper all day and night. Anybody else see the guys with the blow up doll and beer bottle stuck up her butt? LOL Funniest thing I've seen in a long time.
