Corey, would that be approx $13,900 plus labor?

$13,900 with labor and accessories that were damaged - all in parts/labor. However, this is before Ray has taken the car apart and determined there is additional work (as applicable). I'm headed over to see later this morning to discuss details and specifics. At the moment I only have the appraisal from the adjuster (which Ray worked with).

ouch, no fair jumping in front of my camaro for paint... They do excellent work, I'm sure they will make it better than new for you.

Main thing is that you are ok, I'm still in a back brace from a tail-end hit almost 2 years ago.

I'm telling him you gave permission to be on hold. Kidding! Heard you were getting a lot of work done there. Rick spilled the beans.

You want to loan out one of those Vettes???

having the adjuster there with the body shop is paramount. So that's excellent news. I know the feeling on owning a vette, paying for a vette but not being able to drive it. I feel your pain bud

Get in line for Dan's fleet - I'm in for giving Dan's rides routine test drives to keep them fresh
Also may consider taking an excess vehicle off his hands for "storage"

PS: Dan, can you limp out to Marks some night?

Sorry to hear about your vette
If it helps any, I had a customer/friend stop at my store yesterday with his 74 vette that was painted at corvette center over ten years ago. It still looks awesome

I was thinking of the Corvette Center in Newington, or a O'Neils Chevy dealership. I don't want to take it to a regular body shop. Has anyone used Corvette Center before?

You guys are tough, no wonder I haven't been on the forum in a while.

I should setup a loaner vehicle program, I haven't been using any of them. The 62 didn't even use 10 gal of gas last year. Not too much better on the others.

Good luck with the repair, sounds like Ray is on top of it.

John- maybe you'd better come exercise the 62 for me...

Default Corvette Center

Corey,

Sorry to hear of your misfortune but glad to hear that you are taking it to the Corvette Center. The Corvette Center has done all of our body and paint work since 1989 and we have always been happy with the quality of their work.

Best of luck in getting your car back on the road.

Rich

Thanks for checking in! I caught up with Ray earlier this week. Naturally when they pulled the car apart there was unseen damage which further set back the repair. I'm still looking at another month most likely. At this point, they should have totaled the car but unfortunately they are already into it. The good news is the car is being fixed right. I've had a rental for essentially the past month. While it is nice to put miles on someone else's car, its a V6 automatic convertible Mustang(). Between that and seeing the posts in the NE forum for rides/meets....talk about anxious to get my car back....

Sure - and it's better than the Volvo S80 rental I had hands down. No where near as fun (or as cool) as the Vette though!

4 people were killed in that exact spot when a runaway dump truck went barreling down the mt. in 2005.

Again in 2007 a truck went through the furniture on the south side of 44.
