YIPPEE - Corvettes at Carlisle Sticker Arrived Today
That means the show isn't too far off now! It's the best weekend of the year for Corvette owners!
My sticker is #20, so that means there are 19 crazier Corvette owners than me out there!
See you on the Fairgrounds.

Got mine, but it has to be tossed out. They forgot to send me my Veterans parking pass. No biggie.

Actually, I was a bit late. Registered on Thursday of Corvettes at Carlisle last year and got #9.
Listen to this...I already registered for next year's Corvettes at Carlisle event (yes, 2016!!), and got #6!! Hmmm...I wonder if 2017 is open yet?!!
By the way, Rich, I double checked the Days Inn a few days ago and had them email me the reservation confirmation. Just wanted to make sure the cost was what I had. It was. I talked to woman at the front desk who has been there for many years. I wonder if the reviews were over-exaggerated??

Thanks Elaine. I double and triple checked with them as well, and we're set. I got a little different sticker for Carlisle this year.

If not for this thread I would have had to sneak in the funfield at night or something as although we had reserved the hotel I hadn't registered the car for the event! So after not receiving the sticker through the mail a few days after Zippity's posting I went on line and paid the fare. No discount...and the number (I don't care) is in the gazillions. We've been attending Carlisle events of some kind from The Fall Carlisle, Spring Carlisle as it was back in the day, GM Carlisle, etc. and of course CAC since around 85 with my '79 L-82, but this year may very well be the last one before our move South. I will especially miss the Stolzfus breakfast sandwich which has become one of my Corvettes at Carlisle tradition.

I thought it was first-come, first-serve in the general parking areas, but this is the first year I'll actually drive my vette in.
I hope I'll have the chance to meet some of you there.

How does the parking work? Is there value in the low numbers? (Besides the obvious signal that you are a hardcore attendee?)

General Corvette Parking doesn't have numbers. Only the Fun Field participants get the numbers and are eligible for the Celebrity Picks on Saturday. Fun Field owners park on the lower area around the grandstand and are closest to the grandstand, the rest rooms, food court, and swap meet.
General Corvette parking is up over the hill. You're still on the fairgrounds and don't have to drive around outside the gate hoping to find a spot, but you've got a walk ahead of you. It's not terrible and there's a good breeze there on hot days.
A word of advice............the weather is supposed to be perfect this weekend so the place is going to be PACKED. Get there early!!! And by early I mean 6 or 7 a.m. I expect the fun field will be parked full by 10 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
I'll be parked with the Veteran's Parking row E. If I'm there, stop and say hi.
Have fun and enjoy.

This will be my first year going to the show on Thursday. Do they let people in on Thursdays and is there anything to see or is it just a set up day? I'll be there all weekend but I'm arriving a day early this year.

Just drive to Gate #3 and BEFORE you drive through the gate on your left will be a gravel parking lot, pull into that lot. Inside the trailer you can purchase your ticket to get into the fairgrounds and parking.
