Default 2015 Northern CT Posse Fall Ride

It's finally here. ALL VETTE'S, LET'S RIDE

Sunday, October 25, 2015.

We will round-up behind the Dunkin Donuts, 89 Elm Street, Enfield, CT (exit 48 off of I-91). We will leave at 8:30 am. For those who want, there is a Denny's there for an early breakfast, too.

We'll head north on I-91 and then I-291 to our first stop at Randall's Farms in Ludlow, MA.
http://www.randallsfarm.net/

We will then take some scenic back roads to a 'surprise location' (just for us) that I know any Vette owner will love.

We then mount up and head to the Hardwick Winery in Hardwick, MA.
http://www.hardwickwinery.com/ $6 for 6 tastings and you keep the glass.

From here, the Posse will head to the Quabbin Reservoir in Belchertown, MA. http://www.mass.gov/eea/agencies/dcr...reservoir.html

More scenic, twisty roads will take us to Bub's BBQ in Sunderland, MA, where we'll put on a Posse feed-bag. ($ is very reasonable).
http://www.bubsbbq.com/ordereze/default.aspx. We should be here around 3:00 pm.

Yankee Candle is nearby for those who wish to stop after or head home on I-91 south. http://www.yankeecandle.com/about-ya...field-events/t

This is late in the fall for us. The leaves may be passed, but will still be a fun-filled day. If you haven't already, please sign up.

I will provide route maps. GPS units are helpful, too. Bring some cash (small bills). You may want to pack some snacks and cold drinks, as lunch will be late in the day. Bring some walkie-talkies if you have them. An empty cooler may be needed to hold your home-made pies and wines.
THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT. You can wash the Vette when you get home. No DD replacements due to inclement weather.

add another one for me

I believe some of the group went to Good Morning's Restaurant which is right off of 91 in E. Windsor for breakfast. So there's that choice as well.

Ok, put me down for just 1, and I'll have to split off a bit early, but I'll be there. Vette is coming along...I'll give it a 50/50 on whether it'll be all better by then.

Now if it rains, I'll be in the BMW. Not worried about it getting dirty, but the Vette's t tops leak like a sieve, even with new seals...

Default Additional Info on Route

FYI: One of my friends who lives in Westfield, Mass just sent me this: I suggest the group change the course to avoid I91 from the Ct border to 291. The road is riddled with construction issues. Holes, raised structures, and bridge repair. He is going to meet us At Randalls Farm.

I drive that route every day. Just hang in the left lane till you need to get over and you're ok. They've only torn up the right lane and half of the middle lane. I can give an update the day of the ride once that's my route to work.

OH, and the construction only begins when you get to the overpass in Springfield. I just get in the left lane as I'm coming into Springfield, then right before the exit for I-291 switch back over to the right.

Hi guys, new member here from Palmer ma. Lived in the area, including belchertown my whole life, should be a fun ride. We are expecting our first child any day but if possible, any objections if I were to meet up with you along the way?

More progress on the Vette, I'd give it 60/40 chance it's done as long as it doesn't spring any leaks when I fire it up. Hopefully if my parts get here I'll have the whole front end buttoned up this weekend, then just fix the tranny leak. If I have extra time I'll be changing out the jets to get rid of my rich condition I discovered during the one dyno run I got in before she shredded...

And if not, it'll give me an excuse to polish the Bimmer...

Oh and welcome N8, I'm not sure where we will be when, but Dave (bullmarket) can probably give you an idea...

Looking forward to it, missed to many things this year due to my crazy summer and the big dyno meltdown.

Someday a bee will come your way! Then your ride will be "broken in".

Still waiting on my parts...times a ticking...hoping they get here soon so I can put it back together.

Steering box is in, rebuilt PS control valve (which was new), got new PS pump (again), new water pump is in, carb rejetted to lean it out. Just gotta get the PS pump back in (waiting on the new hardware), put fan and alternator back in, put in fluids, and replace speedo cable seal and I should be good to go.

I hate re-doing work I've already done, hopefully this time things will stay put and won't spring leaks.
