C5? Absolutely! C6? Yep! I had a C5 Z06 FRC and hauled a 10X10 everywhere with no problems. Same with my C6 vert. You're good.

You C5 will definitely hold a folded up 10x10 canopy. We take one with us every year and it fit in a C5 convertible, a C6 Z06, a C6 convertible, a C7 coupe and will be with us this year in our C6 Z06. It is all about creative packing! A coupe will hold much more than a convertible.

Most years, I have only gone for one day, usually Friday. For one day, the fun field pass isn't really worth it. But if you drive your Corvette, there are "Corvette Only" parking areas by Gates 1 and 5. I have done the Gate 5 parking area twice, and although it is up the hill a ways, and not as convenient as the fun field, it is still a great place to park. The area by Gate 1 is closer to the main part of the show, but is smaller. Get there early if you want a spot there.

Purchased my funfield pass July 13 but have not received in mail yet. Should I be worried?

This is my first year participating in the parade. I signed up and paid when I purchased my Fun Field pass. I received my window decal and letter but it doesn't say anything about the parade. Am I supposed to receive something separate for the parade? Is the decal color coded for parade participants or something?

Heavy construction on the PA turnpike from Blue Mountain to Carlisle and vise versa. Also, there is a heavy PA state police presence there as well and in unmarked cars.

Plus construction on Clay St. when you're coming into Carlisle from 11/81 from the turnpike.

I believe you have to sign up for the parade at the fairgrounds.

Thanks for the heads up. It's always a mess getting into the fairgrounds.

I'll check once I'm there but I already signed up and paid on the website so they better have my name.

I just spoke with the events coordinator Carlisle and there is "NO" special parking for veterans this year, so, you vets need to go with that in mind!

Absolutely right. That was a one year only thing for Veterans that you had to pre register for and have a special sticker in order to park there. There were many guys last year who were angry because they didn't sign up for it and just "ASSUMED' that they were entitled to park there. Do I think Carlisle will ever do it again? I seriously doubt it. I was parked there, and there were some real ******** who blew up at people because they were Vets, but not permitted to park there.
Everyone needs to read the rules and directions and not just assume that you're good to go and park wherever. And this year, there are RESERVED parking areas that are off limits to the general Fun Field people. So check the event map online before heading out so that you won't make yourself miserable when you're asked to move your car because you're in someone else's spot.
Let's all just go and have a good time. It's one of the best events anywhere for Vettes. And Carlisle does an outstanding job of organizing and trying to please everyone.

By the way, the weather is supposed to be superb for the weekend, which means that the Fun Field is going to fill up EARLY every day so get there as early as you possibly can. I'm expecting the field to be full by 10 a.m Friday and Saturday if not earlier.
See ya all there.
