Default NJ "State of Emergency"

How is everyone making out during this blizzard ?
Here in Toms River looks like not much is plowed.
Heavy gusts, can’t tell if it is snowing or just blowing off the trees.
There are reported electric outages all over, praying we are spared.
Bundled up waiting for the winds to calm so I can dig us out.
Have plenty of supplies so we certainly not going anywhere.
Suggest everyone do the same, be safe.

Further south in Little Egg Harbor we have approximately 10-12" of very heavy, wet snow. High winds and the electric has gone on and off a few times.
I can't wait for it to be over with; I hate the winter.

Be safe

I'm in Somerset county, looks like about a foot so far, with drifts 2x-3x higher. Snow is dry and light so far.

No real plow activity by me except for the main roads.

Hard to tell the actual amount here in Lakewood. Wind is blowing it all around so that it's 2 inches in some places and 24-30 inches in others. If there had been no wind through all of this storm so far, I'd say 16 inches--and still coming down!

So happy I took my Vette out for a little spin on Thursday; 'cause now it's in the garage under cover and it looks like it's going to be there for a lonnnnnnnng time!

Stay safe and warm everyone!

In Mt. Holly Action News stated 18" of snow and I believe it. Snow in my driveway was higher than my snow blower which made for a fun afternoon. Going to be clearing it again tomorrow,

Further South (New Jersey) we got about 18" with drifts to my thighs. God bless the holy snow blower! The Wife and me did a preliminary this afternoon, and will finish the job Sunday before the games. I told the plow if it came down the street again I shoot it! (they stayed clear of our driveway ever since,LOL) As stated earlier...be safe, and don't over do it.
Go Cardinals and Broncos!

We're around 2 feet, but looks like things are back to "normal" today. I don't think anyone this far up lost power.

I didn't move from the couch on Saturday. Sunday I had to take daughter #2 to work at the local Wendy's. On Rt 37 there was a car stuck in the jughandle so I got out and pushed him out. We continued to her work and someone else was stuck so after two hrs of digging with a pipe (all I had) we finally got them out. (they were on their way to get a coffee at D&D). As I went home someone with Virginia plates in a C6 Vette was stuck, so i started to push him out, but every time he hit the gas it just dug itself in. Finally a crewcab truck with Georgia plates stopped and 4 guys helped me get the vette onto Rt 37, he was going to a hotel. When I got home I got my son and we snowblowed my driveway(3 cars wide 2 cars deep). Then I dug out one of my vans. Yesterday my daughters friend called and asked for help, so Dom and I went. Her mother had shouler surgery recently, and her father passed away about 6 months ago, so we dug 3 cars out along with the driveway and the walk to the house. We went home and after lunch we covered the wooden halfpipe and launch ramp ( used for bicycle stunts) with snow and the kids used sleds to down it. (I'm too old to try it)
