Can anyone check out a Z06 for me near Pittsburgh
Looking to drive from Indy this weekend and do a deal, but would like a thumbs up or down from a keen-eyed forum member.
Z06 is at dealership in Valencia PA.

We're up to our asses here with snow right now, and I'm not close enough to the area, but try reaching out to members of the closest Corvette club in that area.

Good luck........and bring a trailer to take her home.

reached out. awaiting a reply.
if anyone's nearby, though, lemme know. The forums list of people who are available for checking out cars are mostly in Philly and not Pittsburgh.

Wondering if it's one of the Z's that GM drove around to bigger shows last year like Carlisle. 8000 miles........could be.

LOL Not yet!
Check out my General Discussion thread on the car. It got picked up on the front page today.

There is a slight "issue" so to speak with it that Chevy is inspecting tomorrow to make sure its good to go. Otherwise good besides a cracked Stage 3 carbon fiber front splitter its a small splintering though.

If it's a "certified" car, then that means that they have gone over it with a fine tooth comb and are guaranteeing that you'll have no issues, and if you do, that they will take care of them. The splitter will fixed before purchase along with anything else.
I bought my Cadillac used and certified and it only had 5000 miles on it. I'm glad I did. I wouldn't buy it without that. Yes I still had manufacturers warranty on it, but the certification gave me a guarantee that EVERYTHING was covered.
The carpeting pulled away next to the console and it was completely replaced. And about two weeks after I bought it, I found a small tear in the leather...........fixed with no charge. Those are the small things that can happen that a manufacturers warranty won't cover , but a GM Certified car will. Get the certification. You don't know what the previous owner might have done.

The Certified checklist indicated they drove the car at highway speeds and it was OK - No Way! Also they did not inspect the cabin air filter (very dirty/leaves/etc), second fob had a dead battery, large rag found blocking air intake filter and some other small stuff.
Called Chevy Customer Service and after some discussion they said they will not replace wheel and other than apologies offered no alternatives. They said that they do not guarantee that a Certified vehicle is all "GM" and have no obligation to disclose aftermarket parts even if those parts were inspected on their checklist.
In my opinion I would not trust any "Certified Inspection". I've bought 4 Corvettes from private owners over the years and had zero disappointments. What they described is what I got. Not so with my first "Certified" purchase.

That sucks.
You need to call Guido and have him make them an offer they can't refuse. Sometimes vigilante justice is the only way to make things right. It's why they originally came about.
