They were both cool and scary! Toasted marshmallows anyone?

I remember in the 50's we'd put a spark plug close to the end of the exhaust pipe; hook up and igniter/ignition switch....that flame would go a loong way.....Be careful.

Better tweak that tune for a couple more horsepower

I thought you guys might be interested to see my dyno results from this past weekend at ESP. Unfortunately not my Z06, but I put my daily driver on the rollers before/after being tuned. '16 GTI, 6 spd, performance pack, ~4,000 miles on it. Stock pull was just after strapping the car down while the tuned pull was after 2 stock pulls, a short cool down, a few minutes of driving with the new programming on the rollers, and a couple of tuned pulls. Car was hot and intercooler was heat soaked for the tuned pull. On the street the difference between a hot pull and a cold pull is very apparent and the intercooler seems to heat soak after a single 2nd/3rd gear run. A bigger intercooler or meth injection is in my near future to help combat this. Only mods on the are lighter wheels, transmission mount insert, short throw shifter, and the United Motorsports tune. The tune really woke the car up as you can see in the dyno plot below- people have trapped in the 108+ in the 1/4 mile with just a tune (~100 mph stock). ESP has been a go to shop for me for years and they just recently became a United Motorsports dealer which helped push me over the edge into tuning the GTI. As always, Dave/ESP were very helpful.
Anyway- was nice meeting you guys at the dyno day. Hopefully I'll see you guys around at other events. Keep your eyes peeled for me and the prius and come say hi.

The prius has been on the dyno several times at slowhawk but never at ESP. Both are a mustang dyno though still not apples to apples. Here is pre/post heads&cam numbers. The pre dyno was not stock- it had a vararam intake, ported throttle body, ported intake manifold, and a b&b bullet catback. Post was all that plus heads/cam/clutch/headers/tune. Numbers went from 456whp/417wtq to 560/498.
