Default Looking for a Dealer to Service Car

I am awaiting my new 2016 Z06. I live in Nassau County, NY and am looking for a dealership that offers the best service for my car. I used to go to Ramp Chevy who had dedicated Vette Techs, but they have closed.

Thanks

Ralph @ Smithtown Chevrolet is a dedicated Corvette Tech. Was recommended to me by 2 Corvette friends.

Jackson Chevrolet in Middletown CT has Paul Koerner.

Google him.

Was at a track seminar yesterday, people drove from NY,MA, RI. I was amazed but they said it was piece of mind and his passion for the car.

Congrats and Good luck with your new car!

I've heard Roberts Chevrolet in Hicksville has a good mechanic (Izzy IIRC), also Atlantic Chevrolet is supposed to have a dedicated Corvette Mechanic. I'm on the fence about this too, I'm due for a State inspection, figure I'll get the oil changed and if I HAVE to (and ONLY if I have to) I'll get the recall for the fuse box ground wire done at the same time. I HATE having to take my car anywhere!

wow.. robert chevy.. Hmmm.. This dealership told me they don't allow test drives on Corvettes. i can understand the Z06, but Corvettes in general? I didn't push the issue. i just shopped elsewhere. I will look into the mechanic. Thanks

Thinking a little more a club I used to belong to always recommended Arnold Chevrolet, a few guys bought their cars from there and they always spoke highly of that dealership.

I have to call these guys. I read on their site that they do "some GM Warranty work". I wonder if that includes the included oil changes for he first 2 years.

I stopped in there on Monday, looking to get a quote on some work. They weren't too busy, give them a call, you never know!

My buddy and i both bought our cars at kerbeck however live local to arnold. my buddy went to arnold to price out a c7 and he told me that the salesmen said " good luck getting another dealer to service your car if you buy it elsewhere ". so here i am ready for my first oil change and i call arnold being its local to me. there service advisor asks if i bought the car there. i told him no. he said there next available appointment for an il change is not until the end of september. a month for an oil change? moral to the story is. iguess sthe salesmen wasnt joking when he said that to my buddy.

WOW, that's kind disappointing...and stupid too on the part of the dealer, do they have that much work that they can turn maintenance and possible future warranty work away? Cross them off the list I guess...Roberts Chevrolet I've heard has a very good Corvette mechanic, Izzy IIRC. And I've also heard that Atlantic on Sunrise has a good dedicated Vette mechanic too, forget his name. I do my own oil changes and minor maintenance, getting ready to do hoses, thermostat and coolant change soon but I have an older C6. Please keep us up to date on how you make out, if you find a good one we should all know, better to reward him by giving him the business...thanks and good luck!
