Default South Jersey insurance question

New Jersey insurance for a 2016 zo6? I am being quoted 1800/yr by my current insurance company. Seems very high to me. Perfect driving record and I'm 53 years old. My wife had an accident with her bmw a few years ago and I'm hoping someone out there can point me to a cheaper rate. Any experience from you South Jersey c7 zo6 drivers? Please only reply if your from the area because other states are usually much cheaper anyway. Ty in advance.

I am in California, I pay just a bit over that. Many threads here about how cheap their insurance is. $400 to 800 and all over the board. 6 month, 1 year blah, blah, blah. Many won't show their policy, I did post mine. I have too much to lose to run state minimum.
Many also say try NCM insurance ( nation corvette museum) but were $4k for me.
I am 54, 1 ticket, and balding tires.
PDF of my policy attached.

Ty very much for your help! Any Jersey estimates available? I'm not asking for personal info, just an estimate of your yearly cost and insurance company if possible. Just trying to save a few bucks.

Best thing to do is ask for quotes from some of the top rated insurance companies.

I checked USAA and they were way off base. I asked my current carrier, State Farm, and they were kinda high. I also checked with another carrier, but forget the quote; maybe I can find it tomorrow.

The above were preliminary research for when I get mine later this year.

One thing that affects your insurance is your FICO score... Just sayin'...

Oh, I'm over in Marlton.

820 should get you the best possible rate available.

Cheap rates are worthless on a 100k car if the insurer does not sell an OEM parts only policy and you'll also loose your factory warranty. State Farm, USAA, Allstate, Progressive do not sell theses policies and junkyard part are their first choice then Aftermarket and only then will they figure OEM parts. Plenty of theses cars wrecking so parts will be only 3 or 4 states away and their "preffered shops" will use them without your permission. Safeco, Travelers, Cincinnati and AutoOwners are sold through Independent Agents and are your best bets. Premiums should never be your first question.

I am also in NJ and have NJ Manufacturers for insurance and they are amongst the best when it comes to insurance in this state of rapery. When I bought my Z06 just out of curiosity I checked with American Collectors who generally insure classic and specialty cars. Since I used to have my '70 Judge insured with them I called them to get a quote for the Z06 since it is a low mile, pleasure use vehicle. Even though they mainly insure classic cars they will insure newer vehicles on a case by case basis if they are low miles driven and their quote was less than NJ Manufacturers so I went with them.

I would bet that you wont get much lower than 1600. I'm in Arizona and we are considered one of the highest car insurance areas. I am paying $1614 a year

That's wishful thinking in this ripoff state. We are THE highest in the nation when it comes to insurance, among other things.

Rates might be based on the previous high performance cars you have had with your Ins, Co. as well as your traffic history.

I switched to GEICO (8) yrs. ago and they have consistently beat the **** out of the competition. I have insured 911 turbo, ZO6, ZR1, M3, and a GTR, all were at least 30% less in premiums.

I'm in Abq. NM and Ins rates similar to PHX. are high here. Check them out, biggest advantage they don't have agents, no middle man commission. Customer service is awesome.

Bios: Me..57 yrs. old, no traffic issues or tickets, 805 CS.

Present GTR premium year $1,236.00.

Quote on new ZO6, $1,258.00

Hope this helps.....

Ann Arbor, MI. $1676 a year, 500,000/500,000, 1000 deductible, no accidents or tickets, multi-car policy. ($1676 is just the Z06)

Last edited by ZeeOh6Nut; 05-20-2016 at 01:17 PM. Reason: clarify Z06 portion of premium

My Z is a fourth car in a three driver family. I'm in PA and I have very good coverage, including full tort option, high limits and all OEM parts, through Nationwide. My premium went from $4,400 to roughly $6,000, but wife had an accident 2.5 years ago that is costing me an extra $700 or so a year surcharge (which should be done soon). I like saving money, but I don't do it through bargain insurance.

Do not pass go.

Do not collect $200.00

Instead; simply pick up the phone and call 877 NSUR.COM

That is the National Corvette Museum Insurance Company.

You will get the best coverage, service and rates available, period!

Bobbie Jo or Adam will put an end to your search!

I live in Gloucester County. My 2015 Z51 was originally insured with NJ Manufacturers but switched to collector car insurance from the NCM. If you don't use your car as a daily driver I found the savings to be well worth it. With a predetermined value, I am paying less then $700/yr with an allowance of 6000 miles/year.
