Thanks for the pics. I had interest in going until I saw the cost. I'm saving the " Jimmy Fund " for Carlisle.

First time there So I can only go with what I saw. Corral had about 50+|- vettes. Tent was way too small for the size of group, lunchtime was crazy. They offered water, soda and a box lunch, several different choices of sandwiches. I noticed other make tents were more spacious and stocked i.e. Porsche boys had their own portapottis, lol. Parade lap was fun, after that it was a dash to find a shady spot to watch the race, the Vette tent was wide open to the West, i.e. Hot sun directly in the tent. They said Chevrolet did not fund the corral so CC of Ct stepped in to help.

In corvette racing's absence, it was nice of CC of Ct to step up and do something. However, the lack of factory funding was evident both in the turnout (Watkins Glenn has 200+ vettes) as well as the tent. Was definitely a brutal day to watch races and finding shade was key. Usually at LRP I would walk around during the race, but this time I stayed glued to the shade.

Does anyone have a link to pictures from the parade lap?

www.tlmotorsports.ca

Click on "Car Corrals" on the left side and select "Corvette Corral".

Pictures will show up on the new page and play as a slide show.

Bravo to the Corvette race team's 1-2 finish Sorry I was not able to stay to the end of the race to see it them cross the finish line together.

With due respect and appreciation to the Club Corvette CT for stepping in to manage the corral, it was nonetheless a major disappointment. The lack of Chevrolet support and even a token paddock sponsorship presence (other than the race teams, of course) was an embarrassment. GM and Chevrolet should be ashamed. The Corvette sweeping win makes it even more of an embarrassment for them and for all Corvette enthusiasts who deserve better.

And a note to Lime Rock officials....if a corral is not a factory sponsored corral, it should be disclosed as such in advance and charged accordingly. Otherwise its a mighty expensive parking spot and sandwich.
