Default Northern CT Posse - Corvettes By The Sea, RI show

Sunday, August 7 at 9:00 am; Corvette Club of RI, 46th annual 'Corvettes By The Sea' (non-judged). Scalabrini Villa Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center, 860 North Quidnessett Road (Crawford Allen Hospital Road) North Kingston, RI.
http://corvetteclubofrhodeisland.com...es-by-the-sea/

Note the new location. This is a non-judged, fun show. Enjoy the salt water, vendors, Vettes and people.

7:00 am, meet for breakfast at Ken's Corner, 30 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury, CT. http://www.yelp.com/biz/kens-corner-...ch-glastonbury

7:45 am sharp, leave for the show. If you do not want breakfast, still meet here in the parking lot. We should be at the show around 9:15 am. There will not be a 'pit' stop.

Enjoy an early Posse dinner after the show. I've picked a nice Italian restaurant for us.

Post who's going, how many in party, breakfast and/or dinner.

Just a reminder that if you can bring a canned good, or goods, that will certainly help the Corvette Club of Rhode Island's ongoing goal to give much needed food to the Rhode Island Food Pantry.

Thanks.

You kids just can't keep up. At your age all I needed was 2-3 hours sleep to be ready to go the next morning!

Default Corvettes By the Sea: New Location Aug 7th

Which way are you guys going to go? We are meeting at Glastonbury McDonalds at 7:30. Are you using the directions on the website? I was on Rt 138 last Monday and don't think I want to go that way with the Vette, was considering Rt 14A off 395 or just following the website directions.

The RI club's directions are for once you are on I-95. Almost everyone will use those details, but it's only a small leg of our journey. For us, it's getting to I-95. Every other year we've taken 2, 395, 138, 110, 1. This year planning on 2, 395, 138, 165, 3, 102, 95, etc.
Only on 138 for 7-8 miles. Looks like two small construction zones. What did you find on that stretch?
My alternate route was 2, 395, 14A, 14, 117, 102, 118, 3, 95, etc. Probably more scenic, but more rural and slower going, too. Difference in time is about 10 minutes longer.

No breakfast, will meet and spectate at show, yes dinner for one.

No construction on RI RT-138 today anywhere between I-95 and RT-1.
Not sure about 138 north of 95.

I'm on that road every day. I'll keep an eye out.

We are going also....

Just the show no meals this time.

Dave we will meet up with you guys right near the Tractor Supply place just as you get off I395 and jump on RT 138.

I'll find a spot to pull over and wait for you to show up...no need to stop... I can pedal hard enough...

If your leaving Ken's Corner at 7:45am sharp I should be safe in getting there by 8:15 am the latest.

If you have any concerns let me know, otherwise...seeya Sunday morning.

Bob
