So, I've got a few days off and we are thinking of driving upstate NY and over the NH and back to South Jersey.

My idea is
Day 1 - Drive to Lake George, NY
Day 2 - what to do? Looking for suggestions
Day 3 - Drive to North Conway NH - the long way
Day 4 - Drive up Mt Washington
Day 5 - Drive home.

I picked these two towns, as I remember having fun there when I was younger - 30+ years ago... I'm sure a lot has changed.

Any Recommendations?

Many of the places in LG village are basically summer only. If you drive south down RT 9 towards Glens Falls you will find a lot more of all sorts of places open. If your interested in leaf pepping its just a little shy of 50% in that area. If peeping you will find all sorts of places to eat and drink along your drive. Go north up 9N from the village

Night life Im 46 years married do not do much bar hopping now.

Home of the 1980 Olympics. The Adirondacks are beautiful this time of year.

We prefer the Lake Placid area to either Lake George or New Hampshire.
Tends to be less people and the roads are real nice for a good scenic drive.
