Default High-end shop in CT - head swap LS7

Hi,

Looking for a competent and reputable shop in CT to do a head swap on my '07 Z06. I am aware of Jannetty Racing in Waterbury, but would like a couple more options.

Is there anyone who is very well versed in C6/LS7 on the level as say American Heritage in CA? That is the quality of shop I am looking for. Another example would be Speed Sport Tuning in Danbury, CT, absolutely world class, however European only, but that gives you an idea what I am looking for.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

The Corvette Center in Newington CT does great mechanical and restorition work. They did a CAI, headers, FAST 102, cam and tune on my 09 coupe and I am totally happy.

I know not the same as the work you describe but others will chime in as well.

Give Ray a call 860-953-2994.

I would highly recommend Second Street Speed in Perkasie, PA. Quality work and trustworthy. One of a couple places I've found in the last 45 years of modifying cars that I would recommend.

I drive about three hours and it looks like it would be about the same distance for you.

Good luck!

I second the vote for Don. Been with him for years now and can't say enough about him and Nick.

So who did you end up going with? I'm hopefully picking up a stock 2006 Z06 and would like the heads inspected before I start tracking it next year. Thanks

Don's good and fair if you want to stay local.
If you want to take a little drive to Cream Ridge, NJ, you'd want to go to East Coast Superchargers.

Thanks for the compliment!
We have two AHP dealers in CT.

Corvette Center in Newington CT (contact Ray)
ECS Performance in South Windsor CT (contact Dan)

We have had several customers use both those shops more than a few times over the last few years and ALL were very pleased with them.
Also they are an AHP dealer so if you need any of our parts they can supply them.
Both great shops and easy to work with honestly.

Feel free to email us at hp@americanheritageperformance.com
if you have any questions

Thank you for the referrals! I've heard about Corvette Center before but haven't dealt with them.
They are less than an hour away so that might be ideal!
I'll email you about what heads to buy for low maintenance stock usage to just add reliability to the car at the track. It will be a weekend/track car for the most part so I don't want to do too much except for make it reliable and get tons of seat time

CT Shop I would absolutely trust?

Ace Performance in Ridgefield

I was going to recommend Ace Performance in Ridgefield. Under new ownership in 22, Tom Falconieri Jr picked up the shop and has kept the same unassuming name. He is a detail oriented body and paint man by former career, doing dealership corrections for Porsche and others but also doing custom paint for a very long list of show cars and exotics. His dad is a master mechanic who taught him all he knows. Both Toms have extensive history working on exotics. Extensive, top of the market, private collection and restorations and builds. You'll see their work at Pebble Beach or New Canaan's Caffeine & Carburetors... usually pulled into the top solo spot at Zumbachs where the $30M cars are.... wink wink. But they both love American muscle and have an absolute jones for LS and GM products. Also Jeeps, Typhoons, GT500s, F-Bodies, etc.

If you're building a car to go fast, they have done it. He's also connected with a lot of other CT talent and Mexico racers alike. Ray Zisa's crew is solid by reputation. Tom at Ace is going to give you a completed package though. Done right to run hard and be safe.

He keeps a low profile but his shop is always BUSY.

I do not recommend folks to work on cars. I don't trust ANYONE. But I trust Tom. And I'd be fine with him or his dad driving my cars too.
